Dr. John Street
Dr. John Street received his M.Div. from Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary, and a D.M. from Westminster Theological Seminary. John served more than 30 years in pastoral ministry. He served as a professor at Cedarville and Cornerstone Universities and as the Director of Admissions at Cedarville. He is both the Chairperson and a Professor for Biblical Counseling at The Master’s College and Seminary. As founding pastor of Clearcreek Chapel, he built a strong counseling program and training center. He is a Fellow and member of the board of the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors (NANC), a member of the Evangelical Theological Society, and an elder and lay pastor at Grace Community Church in Los Angeles, CA. Dr. Street is a contributor to several publications, and a contributing editor of The Journal of Modern Ministry. He has been married to Janie for over 33 years, and they have four children and three grandchildren.
Dr. Nicolas Ellen
Dr. Nicolas A. Ellen received his Masters in Christian Education from Dallas Theological Seminary, his Masters in Biblical Counseling from The Master’s College, and his Doctoral degree (D.M.) in Biblical Counseling from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Currently, Nick is Senior Pastor of Community of Faith Bible Church in Houston, Texas, and a full-time Assistant Professor at the College of Biblical Studies (CBS). He teaches across the country with the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors (NANC), with whom he is a certified counselor and senior member of the Biblical Counseling Framework Association, and appears weekly on the Up with the Son Television Program (KETH-14). Dr. Ellen has authored several books, many of which can be purchased in the CBS bookstore, and has developed a biblical counseling training center, Expository Counseling Center, LLC. He and his wife Venessa have two children.
Venessa Ellen received her Bachelors degree from the College of Biblical Studies (CBS), prior to earning her Masters Degree in Biblical Counseling from The Master’s Seminary. She also holds a Masters degree in Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Seminary, where she anticipates completing her Ph.D. in Women’s Ministries in 2012. Venessa is the founder of the non-profit ministry, The Second Chance Center, and an adjunct instructor at CBS. For more than 17 years, Venessa has communicated her burden for the women of God in many speaking avenues. Because of this burden, she founded the Second Chance Center to meet the needs of women who find themselves in crisis pregnancy and have nowhere to live. Venessa has taught, counseled, and trained women in many areas of Christian life and biblical studies. Venessa and her husband, Nicolas, have been married for 13 years. They reside in Houston with two daughters and two grandsons.
